LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man wanted for holding up a store south of the Las Vegas Strip was believed to be the same person who robbed other retail businesses in the area.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a suspect posed as a customer inside a store Jan. 3 in the 7400 block of Las Vegas Boulevard South.

After loitering in the store for about 30 minutes, the suspect took out a handgun and demanded money, police said.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store, picked up by a waiting silver vehicle, Metro said.

Police described the suspect as a light-skinned black man, 26-34 years old, 5'10" and 160 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue shirt and jeans.

Police urge anyone with information on the suspect to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
