LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Firefighters were faced with water supply issues during efforts to extinguish a two-alarm house fire in west Las Vegas.
Clark County Fire Department reported the fire in the 6400 block of Ponderosa Way, near Patrick Lane and Torrey Pines Drive, about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived to find flames spreading into the attic area, CCFD said. The fire department also noted that the closest fire hydrant was 1,000 feet away, and a vehicle crash at the time caused a supply line to burst.
The fire was brought under control just after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
One of two people inside the home at the time of the fire sustained minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
Damage was estimated at $750,000, CCFD said.
