Police believe a man suspected in the slaying of another person in northeast Las Vegas attempted to commit suicide following the killing.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers responding to reported gunfire found a man's body in the 400 block of Page Street about 6:15 p.m. on Monday.

Homicide detectives believe a dispute involving several men led to the shooting at Page Street. One person died there and the other men fled, police said.
Police said Smith proceeded to the apartment complex on Bonanza and appeared to have shot himself.
Police have booked Smith in absentia on a count of Murder with a deadly weapon and a count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
