Gregory Daniel Correa (Mohave County Sheriff's Office)
MOHAVE VALLEY, AZ (FOX5) -
A northwest Arizona man charged in a domestic incident, which included a 12-year-old holding a gun, claimed he was just having an argument with his wife.
Gregory Daniel Correa, 34, of Mohave Valley, was arrested on Sunday after a domestic violence call at his home.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff's office, Correa's wife told deputies a fight ensued between her and her husband.
The wife told deputies she was kicked several times. The wife also said their 12-year-old daughter grabbed a gun and pointed it at Correa.
Deputies were told by the daughter that he had gotten a hold of the gun after punching the 12-year-old, which led to him catching up with his wife who fled out to the front yard.
After getting a hold of his wife, Correa freed her from his grasp after she screamed for help several times, deputies were told.
When deputies arrived, Correa was taken into custody without incident. Deputies said the gun in the incident was confiscated.
Correa was booked into the Mohave County District Substation jail.
