KINGMAN, AZ (FOX5) -
A northwest Arizona man admitted to stealing a vehicle from a car dealership after he was spotted in the vehicle.
Richard Allan Prunty, 20, of Kingman, was arrested Monday on charges including auto theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's office.
According to authorities, deputies received a tip on Prunty's whereabouts. Prunty was wanted for a failure to appear and contempt of court charges, deputies said.
Deputies made contact with Prunty, who was in the driver's seat of a Honda Civic about 8:42 a.m. The sheriff's office said Prunty admitted to deputies about stealing the vehicle from a dealership.
Deputies searching the car also found a white box labeled "Meth Time", which contained plastic bags and a make-shift smoking pipe, according to the sheriff's office.
Prunty was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
