LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police on Friday identified the two suspects arrested in an enormous marijuana grow house bust on the city's west side as Chang Zheng, 46, and Qing Chen, 45.

The bust by the Southern Nevada Cannabis Operation and Regional Enforcement (SCORE) team on Wednesday afternoon was the largest residential raid in the multi-jurisdictional task force's history.

When officers first entered the home on Trickling Stream Circle near Fort Apache and Spring Mountain roads, they were overcome by the stench of an unknown irritant.

The team sent a robot into the house to assess the situation while donning hazmat suits.

In all, SCORE members seized 1,481 marijuana plants worth an estimated $4.5 million as well as $29,593 in cash.

Police said the wiring inside the house was elaborate and that the suspects were stealing power from neighbors to maintain the operation.

According to Metro's arrest report, officers found Chen hiding against a wall near a gate at the home. Zheng was found a few feet away, hiding in bushes.

The suspects face charges including maintaining a house for the sale of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
