Coroner IDs elderly auto-ped victim

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner on Friday identified the victim of an auto-pedestrian accident on Decatur Boulevard north of Vegas Drive as Doris Stoehr, 83, of Las Vegas.

Police said Stoehr was not in a marked crosswalk on Thursday morning at 10:20 a.m. as she was making her way across Decatur. She was struck by a southbound 1998 Isuzu Hombre pickup truck.

Stoehr was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver involved waited for police to arrive.

The coroner has yet to release Stoehr's exact cause of death.

This marked the fifth fatal traffic-related accident in Metro's jurisdiction so far in 2013.
