Goodwill to help homeless vets find employment

Posted: Updated:

It's no secret that southern Nevada has a problem with homelessness and much of that population is comprised of veterans.

It's estimated that 35,000 unemployed veterans live in Clark County alone.

To help get our veterans off the streets and into jobs, Goodwill of Southern Nevada is launching the Veteran Integration Program (VIP).

The program, funded by a grant from Nevada Women's Philanthropy, is aimed at helping our vets find employment and achieve independence.

Goodwill will officially launch the program during a ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 10 at the retail store located at 1280 W. Cheyenne Ave. in North Las Vegas.
