PAHRUMP, NV (FOX5) -
Authorities in Pahrump arrested five people as part of a sting operation over alleged methamphetamine dealing.
According to the Nye County Sheriff's Office, deputies observed a delivery of meth baggies for money by Lynn Barwell, 46, to Barbara Bell, 55, on Jan. 6 at Bell's home.
The sheriff's department said deputies saw Bell try to throw away a pipe and a substance as they attempted to arrest the two women. In addition, deputies said they found another bag of meth in Barwell's moped at the scene.
Both were booked into the Nye County Detention Center.
An investigation connected the drugs on Barwell to Angelique Ball, 33, who was under surveillance following the initial sting.
Deputies said they observed Ball entering a car driven by Gina McDaniel, 26, and authorities followed the vehicle.
Deputies stopped the vehicle and detained both women.
During the detainment, the sheriff's office said a cellphone belonging to Ball kept ringing, which led investigators to believe they were on their way to delivering drugs.
In addition, deputies said they found about six grams of methamphetamine in McDaniel's bra. Each tried to accuse the other of being behind the operation, deputies said.
The sheriff's department's narcotics task force used the information found on phones belonging to Ball and McDaniel to use for an ongoing investigation.
Deputies also said McDaniel called her boyfriend Steven Fasking, 27, from jail and told him to dispose of any remaining meth at their residence.
Fasking was placed under arrest following the call, deputies said.
All five were booked into the Nye County Sheriff's Office Detention Center on multiple counts, including possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of a controlled substance, sales of a controlled substance and concealing/destroying evidence.
Authorities said the initial sting was part of an ongoing investigation of possible drug transaction's happening at Bell's residence.
