One man is dead following an auto-pedestrian accident Saturday just after 6:15 p.m. near Warm Springs Road and Hinson Street.
Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser, driven by Ryan Ursell, 24, was traveling west on Warm Springs Road in the only westbound travel lane.
The front of Ursell's vehicle struck the 48-year-old pedestrian, according to police.
Police said the pedestrian was in the roadway and not in a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased by medical personnel on scene.
Ursell stopped and remained on scene.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the identity once next of kin has been notified.
This is the 2nd fatal traffic collision in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2013.
This accident remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
