Results from a three-year study that provides an in-depth review of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are about to be released. The Consortium for Police Leadership in Equity will present the findings at LVMPD Headquarters Friday afternoon.

Representatives from the Los Angeles-based think tank that conducted the exhaustive study focused its research on the use of deadly force, deadly force and internal equity.

The study began in 2010 at the urging of Sheriff Doug Gillespie, and was completed by interviews, surveys and reviews of internal affairs complaints. Twenty years worth of data on the use of force was also taken into account.

FOX5 will attend the press conference and have the latest updates when the findings are released.
