LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A three-story home in the southwest end of the Las Vegas valley erupted in flames early Thursday morning.
According to Clark County Fire Department, the blaze was reported just before 3 a.m. near Blue Diamond and Fort Apache roads.
CCFD said the fire started on the first floor and quickly spread to the second.
There was no one home at the time of the fire, CCFD said. There were also no injuries reported.
Firefighters said the layout of the home proved a little difficult in battling the flames.
"A lot of staircases, twists and turns to get hose lines up," said Deputy Fire Chief Erik Newman with CCFD. "Not only to the second floor, but to the third floor…You also have the attic space that we've got to check."
An investigation into the cause was underway.
The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada has already been dispatched to help the family affected by the fire.
