NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
The Clark County Coroner's office identified Thursday an 18-year-old man who died after he was struck by a vehicle in North Las Vegas.
Jesse Hill was identified as the person who died in the incident, according to the coroner's office.
North Las Vegas police said he and a 16-year-old girl were hit by a vehicle on Tuesday.
The two were transported to University Medical Center, where Hill later died. The girl was last listed in critical condition, police said.
Police earlier on Wednesday charged two teens in connection with the incident.
Cristian Ivan Diaz, 19, was driving a 2002 Acura coupe on Gliding Road near Black Oaks Street when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, left the roadway and struck a 16-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, who died on Wednesday.
Witnesses told police they observed the car's passenger, 18-year-old Ricardo Daniel Velasquez, disposing of a bag of marijuana before officers arrived.
Diaz was booked into Las Vegas City Jail on a count of failure to maintain a travel lane and failure to obtain a driver's license. Velasquez was arrested for marijuana possession and destruction of evidence.
Police believe speed, drugs and alcohol were factors in the incident.
