LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man wanted for a homicide in Texas shot and killed himself when he was confronted by police in Las Vegas, authorities said Wednesday.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the incident happened about 9:25 a.m. in the 4200 block of Koval Lane, south of Flamingo Road.

Metro did not give details on what led up to the confrontation. The man, though, may have been a fugitive on the run from authorities in Texas.

Citing the United States Marshals Service, San Antonio TV station KABB reported 33-year-old Narada Goodrum fled the area after his wife was found dead at the couple's home on Dec. 27.

KABB received confirmation from U.S. Marshals that Goodrum was the person who shot himself in Las Vegas.

In addition, the FOX affiliated station reported Goodrum's wife was pregnant and filed for divorce the day before her death.

There were no other injuries reported and police said no officers fired shots.
