HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
Henderson police reported three people died in two separate traffic wrecks on New Year's Eve.
The first accident happened at 10 a.m. on Boulder Highway near Galleria Drive. A 74-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Camry southbound on Boulder against the flow of northbound traffic when she collided with a Pontiac Grand Prix with two occupants.
The male and female occupants, ages 74 and 72, were both killed.
The second wreck occurred at 2 p.m. at Boulder Highway and Greenway Road. A 64-year-old woman was entering Boulder Highway in a Toyota Corolla from a shopping center parking lot when she crossed the path of a Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by a 29-year-old man.
The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Unit where she later died.
Eighteen people died in 14 accidents in Henderson in 2012.
