Manuel Garciahill (1/1/2013)
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Though arrests were few on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, Metro police did arrest a man for assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
Police said Manuel Garciahill, 20, of North Las Vegas, was taken into custody by Circus Circus security with the assistance of two tourists in the early morning hours of Tuesday. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
Police also reported that a man in the northeast portion of the valley was injured when he was struck by a round believed to have been fired in celebration inside of his mobile home. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On and around Fremont Street, police made roughly a dozen misdemeanor arrests and several arrests for DUI. One person was given a misdemeanor traffic citation.
