LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Clark County Coroner has identified the body found on Thursday in North Las Vegas as that of Jade Morris, a 10-year-old girl who had been missing since last Friday.
The coroner listed the cause of death as multiple stab and incised wounds, a homicide.
Morris was last seen with 50-year-old Brenda Jean Stokes, who was arrested and charged last Friday with attacking a co-worker at the Bellagio hotel and casino with razor blades. The victim of that attack was hospitalized with deep laceration wounds.
Earlier on Friday, Stokes appeared in court where a judge raised her bail to $600,000. It was also revealed that blood had been found in Stokes' car. If that blood is a DNA match with Morris, Stokes could be charged with kidnapping and murder.
Morris' body was found on Thursday by a person walking a dog in an unfinished housing development in North Las Vegas.
