PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

Two men suspected of stealing money and at least five firearms from an elderly man in Prescott have been arrested.

On Friday, detectives canvassing downtown Prescott met with a pair of Prescott police officers who had just detained 18-year-old Patrick Collins on Whiskey Row. When confronted with physical evidence linking him to the crime, he admitted his involvement, officers said.

The next day, Jacob Cota, 31, was located at his father's home around 3:30 a.m. in Prescott and taken into custody.

Police said the 84-year-old victim in the case told deputies two men confronted him in his home on Butterfield Road and stole several firearms Dec. 22.

The victim said he was asleep in his bedroom when he heard someone smash open a hallway door and come into his room.

One of the suspects claimed that he was "conducting an investigation" and threatened to shoot the victim if he moved, according to police.

The victim believes the suspects have been to his home before based on how familiar they were with the layout and the gun cabinets.

On Dec. 23, Prescott police recovered the stolen firearms inside the city limits but weren't able to find the suspects.

Collins and Cota were booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center on various robbery, kidnapping and theft charges. All stolen firearms in this case have been recovered.
