Dr. Jason Burke, a trained anesthesiologist is launching the first Hangover Research Institute dedicated to the study, prevention and cure of hangovers set to open Jan. 1, 2013.
The institute is an extension of Burke's Hangover Heaven, a medical practice specializing in the treatment of hangovers. He treats patients with a variety of medications and supplements that range in cost from $99 to $200.
Burke's newest venture, the Research Institute will continue the doctor's work with studies of volatile organic compounds and the role they play in hangovers in addition to clinical trials and student projects.
Burke says it's his professional responsibility to advance research and treatment options for patients in need. "I realize there is a great deal of judgment associated with hangovers. However, as a physician, I don't judge. I treat."
