Speeding driver hits pole, wall

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A car wreck on Monday afternoon shut Paradise Road down at Wigwam Avenue.

Metro police said two men were speeding in a Toyota Scion just before 4:30 p.m. when they went off the road, struck a light pole and hit a wall.

The driver became trapped and was later taken to the hospital with serious injuries including a broken leg. The passenger was treated at the scene and released.

Police have not disclosed if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
