LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Five people were transported to local hospitals after a school bus collided with a vehicle in west Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol reported the wreck on westbound Summerlin Parkway between Anasazi Drive and the Clark County 215 Beltway about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Troopers said a Honda was heading eastbound on the parkway when the driver crossed the median and into oncoming traffic. The vehicle struck a school bus, NHP said.
Four people on the bus, which included two students, the bus driver and a teacher's aid, were injured, NHP said. The female driver of the Honda was also hospitalized. All injuries were listed as non-life threatening, NHP said.
NHP reported westbound Summerlin Parkway closed following the incident.
