Law enforcement in northwest Arizona needed a K9 unit and the use of a Taser to subdue a man who was running away from deputies.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's office, 23-year-old Charles Daniel Murray was arrested Sunday on charges of resisting arrest, aggravated assault on an officer and failure to pay fines.

Authorities noted Murray had a warrant issued against him.

Deputies were called to a home in Golden Valley, which is 25 miles east of Laughlin, on a report of a possible burglary at a vacant home.

According to the sheriff's department, when Murray was seen walking near the home, deputies made contact with him. Murray claimed to have been helping a friend clean the place, deputies said.

After finding Murray had a warrant out for his arrest, deputies attempted to arrest him but not without resistance.

The sheriff's department said Murray struggled with deputies, eventually hitting one of them on the chin and escaping to a field.

A K9 dog located Murray, who was bit on the arm, deputies said. Deputies then used a Taser to get Murray under control , authorities said.

Murray was treated at a local hospital and later booked into the Mohave County Jail.
