A North Las Vegas man was accused in the shooting death of his cousin during a dispute at the home they share together, police said.

Neftali Felipe Rodriguez was charged with murder with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm in connection to a shooting early Sunday morning.

According to North Las Vegas police, officers were called to a home in the 3600 block of Terneza Avenue, near Pecos Road and E. Tropical Parkway, just before 1:45 a.m.

Officers found a 32-year-old man who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound, police said. NLV police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the victim as Ricardo A. Mora.

Police later learned an altercation happened between the victim and Rodriguez, who had fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police said Rodriguez was arrested a short time later near Craig Road and Interstate 15. Police also said they recovered the handgun thought to be used in the shooting.

Rodriguez was booked into the Las Vegas City Jail.
