LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Two people were shot in an apparent overnight altercation in a west Las Vegas neighborhood.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the shooting in the 5300 block of Longridge Avenue, near Charleston and Decatur boulevards, about 2:30 a.m. Monday.
According to police, a woman in her 20s was shot in the head while a man was shot in the hand. Police said the female victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
Both people were transported to University Medical Center.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between a man living at the home near the shooting and the suspect.
Police did not specify the suspect's description other than to say that person wore dark clothing.
