The Clark County Coroner's office identified a Las Vegas woman who died after an apparent domestic shooting incident at an apartment complex.
Nichole E. Nick, 29, died of a gunshot wound of the chest and sharp force injuries as a result of a homicide, the coroner's office said.
Nick was killed after the reported incident at the Canyon Point Apartments on E. Harmon Avenue about 10:15 p.m. Nov. 7, Las Vegas Metro police said.
Nick and an elderly woman were found wounded inside an apartment after officers arrived to shattered windows at a unit, police said.
Metro said the two victims were transported to a local hospital, where Nick was pronounced dead. The other female victim was treated with non-specified injuries.
According to police, detectives identified 42-year-old Robert Brown, Jr. as a person of interest in the shooting. Police believe Brown and Nick were in a dating relationship before the incident.
Brown was described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5'8" tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was believed to be driving a red 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with Nevada personalized license plates that read "ARIYL."
Police urge anyone with information in the case to call Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
