Visitor numbers for Las Vegas in October are mostly up with overall visitation an improvement over October 2011.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority's (LVCVA) report released on Friday indicates overall visitation in 2012 was up 2.9 percent over the same period the year prior.
Room inventory was nearly unchanged and hotel occupancy was up 2.6 percent. The average daily room rate stood at $117.70, up from $114.68 in October 2011.
Convention attendance was up 4.3 percent, while the number of arriving and departing air passengers was down a slight 1.5 percent.
The report additionally shows visitation in October was down 7.4 percent for Laughlin and down 0.1 percent for Mesquite.
