A 22-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested in suspicion of shooting at security officers outside of a Strip casino.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Joshua Olvera was charged with three counts of attempted murder with a weapon and burglary with a weapon.

Police said Olvera was seen by security officers at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino trying to break into a vehicle at the property's parking garage just before 3 a.m. Thursday.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot, shooting rounds from a handgun at three security officers, police said.

The officers did not return fire and maintained visual contact on Olvera until police arrived, Metro said.
