LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Seventy-nine years ago today, prohibition was lifted and Americans could once again drink alcohol legally.
The Mob Museum is celebrating the occasion, starting at 9 a.m. when former Mayor Oscar Goodman will smash a giant bottle.
Day-long celebrations will continue with a special entrance fee of $19.33, signifying the year in which prohibition was repealed. Guests will have full access to the Mob Museum, prohibition-era cocktail samplings and libations, live music, as well as a 1920s fashion contest.
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests can enjoy more cocktails at a Roaring Twenties after-hours party.
Ticket prices for museum members are $15. The Mob Museum is located at 300 East Stewart Ave.
