LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Metro police were called to the scene of a shooting in downtown Las Vegas Wednesday.

Las Vegas Metro police said a man was shot in the parking lot behind The Family Food Market located at 11th and Fremont streets about 4:45 a.m. The victim ran into the store for help, according to police.

Authorities said the man may have been shot multiple times. He was transported to University Medical Center.

Police did not specify the victim's condition.

Police have also not made any arrests following the incident.
