The city of Henderson is again challenging anyone who lives, works or plays in the city to be slimmer and healthier in 2013.
Now in its second year, Lighten Up Henderson is a challenge for anyone over 13.
Those who sign up will receive a free one-week fitness room pass valid at all Henderson recreation centers.
You may work out wherever or however they choose. You can even drop in at a Henderson recreation center for $3 per visit or sign up for a Healthy Henderson fitness room membership for as little as $15 per month.
The weigh-in is from 6 - 8 a.m. or 6-8 p.m. Jan. 14-18. The weigh-out will be held Apr. 1-5.
"This 12-week challenge encourages people to adopt a healthier lifestyle that includes proper nutrition and exercise," said Mayor Andy Hafen. "One of the many benefits of Lighten Up Henderson is how easily it can be geared for all fitness levels to provide an overall sense of well-being."
