Cubs, Rangers returning for Big League Weekend - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

Las Vegas will play host to an exhibition rematch between the Chicago Cubs and the Texas Rangers for "Big League Weekend" next March.
The two Major League Baseball clubs are scheduled to meet March 16-17, 2013 at Cashman Field.

The two teams met in the 2012 event weekend.
The teams will field split squads during the games.
The Cubs are no strangers to Big League Weekend, having been featured in the Las Vegas spectacular since 2005.
The weekend also serves as a precursor to the new Las Vegas 51s season, this time as the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets.
The 51s open the season at Sacramento on April 4. The team's home opener is April 12 against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
