LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

An armed robber suspected in a number of hold-ups at Las Vegas sandwich shops usually orders food from the eatery before taking the money, according to Metro police.

Police said the suspect, who is in his late 20's to early 30's, has followed the same pattern at restaurants in the southwest end of the city.

After ordering the food, he pulls out a handgun and demands money, police said. The suspect places the money into a plastic bag from the business and leaves with both cash and the sandwich, detectives noted.

The suspect was described as a black man with a thin build. He was noted as sporting glasses and a beard or goatee.

Police urge anyone with information on the suspect to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
