LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Who says you can't ice skate in the desert? The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has transformed the Boulevard Pool into an ice rink overlooking the Strip.
Beginning Friday, you can come down, strap on skates, enjoy fire pits, warm cocktails, s'mores and hang on for dear life.
Date Skate Mondays will include scenes from beloved holiday movies on a 65' digital marquee. On Wednesdays, DJs will turn the rink into an outdoor club during Industry Skate on the Strip. Throwback Thursdays are your chance to dig out your leg warmers and disco gear as you skate to solid gold hits from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s.
The rink will be open through Sunday, Jan. 20. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 3 – 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. Holiday hours are from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and will be in effect from Dec. 24 – Jan. 4
An all-day skating pass is $10 for locals and $15 for non-residents. You may bring your own skates or rent them for $5.
