A Henderson woman who died after a confrontation with her ex-boyfriend suffered a stab wound to the chest, authorities said.
The Clark County Coroner's office identified the victim of the incident as 43-year-old Candace Michele Moffett.
According to Henderson police, Moffett's ex-boyfriend, 59-year-old Gary Gaston, was accused of going to her home, arguing with her and then stabbing her on Nov. 28.
Moffett was rushed to Sunrise Trauma Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Gaston admitted to the incident and surrendered to police without incident, HPD said.
Gaston was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on counts of burglary and murder with a deadly weapon.
