Authorities released Thursday the name of a man who died after being trapped in an apartment fire.

Eric Olsen, 56, was the person who died in the fire on Nov. 24, according to the Clark County Coroner's office.

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, the two-alarm fire engulfed an apartment in the 900 block of Brush Street just before 1 p.m. that day.

Officials said heavy flames and smoke were coming from a two-story building at the Alpine Village Apartments.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

One other person was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation.

According to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, 22 adults and four children from 13 units were displaced as a result of the fire.

An exact cause of death for Olsen is expected to be released by the coroner's office.
