A Henderson man was charged with murder after admitting to stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death, police said.
Gary D. Gaston, 59, was arrested Wednesday at his ex's home on Rising Brook Drive, off of Aspen Peak Loop.
According to Henderson police, a friend of the 43-year-old victim called police of the stabbing that happened about 4:40 p.m.
Investigators said Gaston went over to the victim's home and argued with his ex-girlfriend. Gaston then stabbed the victim during the confrontation, police said.
According to police, officers arrived to find Gaston at the home.
The suspect admitted to the stabbing and surrendered, Henderson PD said.
The victim was rushed to Sunrise Trauma Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to release the victim's name and cause of death.
Gaston was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on counts of murder and burglary with a deadly weapon.
He was being held without bail.
