Death of music `dealmaker' in Vegas ruled suicide

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The death of a 54-year-old dealmaker who helped bring Donald Trump to Las Vegas and attempted to install Michael Jackson as the headline act at a themed casino has been ruled a suicide.

Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy said Wednesday that Jack Wishna was found dead of carbon monoxide intoxication Tuesday in a vehicle in the garage at his home in Henderson.

Wishna is credited with bringing Trump and Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin together to build the Trump International Tower in Las Vegas.

He tried to bring Jackson to the Strip in the mid-2000s. After the singer's death, he later established a Michael Jackson-themed Cirque du Soleil production.
