Sentencing expected in Vegas double homicide

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A Las Vegas man who was found guilty of a double homicide near Fremont and 15th streets in 2011 is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday.

Marco Guzman, 24, was arrested last year and charged with two counts of murder with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary and grand larceny.

Police said Guzman shot and killed a man and a woman in June of 2011 following a struggle over money. The male victim was identified as Anthony Dickerson, 27, of Las Vegas. Both victims were found shot in the head inside of an apartment.

Guzman claimed he used a handgun in self defense.
