In honor of National Hospice & Palliative Care Month, Nathan Adeslon Hospice has launched its two-month Families in Need Program.
The campaign follows the 2012 national theme of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization of "Comfort. Love. Respect."
From now until Dec. 31 Nevada's largest nonprofit hospice organization is accepting donations for families that gone through the hospice process that may need help with everyday necessities.
Some of the wish list items include gift cards from retailers and grocery stores, nonperishable canned goods and basic household items such as diapers, paper products and toiletries.
Donations can be dropped off to these Nathan Adelson Hospice locations: 4141 Swenson St. in Las Vegas; in the MountainView Medical Office Building, 3150 N. Tenaya Way (near Cheyenne), Third Floor, in Las Vegas; and 1401 S. Highway 160, Suite B, in Pahrump.
The hospice provides care and support to more than 450 patients and families each day, with a goal to ensure those patients and their families have everything they need as their loved one makes their end-of-life journey.
