LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the two men who were shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide the day before Thanksgiving.

According to the coroner's office, William Joseph Pearce, Jr., 25, died of multiple gunshots to the head and torso as a result of a homicide.

The coroner's office also identified 22-year-old Anthony Rafael Garcia, who died of a gunshot to the head as a result of a suicide.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Garcia forced his way into the home of his estranged wife in the 2000 block of Sunland Avenue just after 12 noon on Nov. 21.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots from the residence.

Police surrounded the home for a couple of hours after the shots were fired, according to Metro. When officers entered the home, they found the two men dead.

"A brief dispute began, at which point the estranged husband began shooting. It's believed at this time the boyfriend was struck by gunfire as well as the estranged husband, with a self-inflicted gunshot," said Metro Officer Marcus Martin.

According to police, Garcia's wife and three children were able to escape the home safely.

An investigation on the incident is ongoing.
