LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Longtime Las Vegas weatherman John Fredericks died Friday afternoon while in the care of Nathan Adelson Hospice, a spokesperson told FOX5.
The former KVBC (now KSNV) meteorologist was admitted to hospice Tuesday, months after he was diagnosed with cirrhosis.
In addition to his on-air work, Fredericks was active in Las Vegas' pet community, advocating for animals. His longtime pet, Jordan, was a large part of his on-air persona.
