Las Vegas Metro police weren't offering pardons to more than 60 people snagged in a crosswalk "turkey sting" east of downtown on Wednesday.
Officers dressed as a Thanksgiving turkey patrolled two intersections of Charleston Boulevard -- near 13 Street and Burnham Avenue – looking for drivers who weren't paying attention to the road.
Erin Breen, director of UNLV's Safe Community Partnership, said citations were issued for the following offenses:
- Right of way violations: 34
- Passing a stopped vehicle at crosswalk: 5
- Other miscellaneous violations: 19
- Pedestrian crossing outside of a crosswalk: 1
