Marking the 21st anniversary of Opportunity Village's Magical Forest, a tree lighting ceremony will highlight festivities on Friday at 6 p.m.
Las Vegas Mayor Pro Tem Stavros Anthony will serve as master-of-ceremonies and Santa Claus will be on hand. Also appearing will be the Las Vegas Tenors, FANTASY at Luxor star Lorena Peril and others.
"Magical Forest began in 1992 and has become a Las Vegas holiday tradition," said Opportunity Village chief development officer Linda Smith. "As our largest annual fundraiser, money raised from the Magical Forest goes directly to the programs and services provided to men and women with intellectual disabilities to offer employment training, advocacy and social recreation."
The Magical Forest is open from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are available at all area CVS/pharmacy locations, all Opportunity Village locations and online at www.MagicalForest.org.
