LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
What is SlotZilla? No, it's not a giant fire-breathing slot machine with its sights set on Tokyo. It's a huge zipline ride, and it's coming to downtown Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority president Rossi Ralenkotter will announce construction on the project and unveil a 6-foot model.
The permanent zipline will be constructed at Fremont Street and its creators said it will necessitate the hiring of 150 people for construction and 100 employees to operate it once it's complete.
A news conference to announce plans for SlotZilla was scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
