LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Clark County Coroner's office identified a pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Las Vegas.
Elena Castro, 78, died of multiple blunt force injuries as a result of the accident, the coroner's office ruled.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the accident on 13th Street near Bridger Avenue about 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16.
According to police, Castro and another person, Ernesto Castro, 83, were walking across 13th, when both were struck by a Hyundai-model vehicle driven by 62-year-old Sir Seltz.
Elena Castro was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ernesto Castro was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, Metro said.
As of this incident, Metro has investigated 95 traffic-related fatalities this year.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
