Coroner ID's man shot, killed in southwest Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities released the name of a man who was shot and killed during a reported argument at a southwest Las Vegas apartment complex.

According to the Clark County Coroner's office, Thomas Rudolph Mallard, 43, died of a gunshot wound of the abdomen as a result of a homicide.

Las Vegas Metro police said Mallard died after a shooting on Nov. 17 at the Foothill Village Apartments on Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

According to police, Mallard had gotten into an argument when the shooting occurred. Mallard was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.

Police did not say if anyone was in custody following the shooting.
