Elderly woman struck, killed by car

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Metro police have confirmed an elderly woman has died and an elderly man was injured after being hit by a vehicle on 13th Street south of Carson Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.

The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The elderly man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police said the driver involved stayed at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
