
For the fifth year in a row, 9-year-old Boulder City resident Blaze Trumble is collecting new or clean, gently used blankets and jackets for the Las Vegas area homeless and needy.
Last year's collection totaled more than 600 items, this year he hopes to surpass that number.
The donation drive began when Blaze was just 5 years old, he decided to host a blanket drive and help the homeless as his birthday wish, since then it has become a tradition.
Donation boxes will be picked up on Tuesday Nov. 20 and distributed on Wed. Nov. 21 at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
