LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A west Las Vegas resident working on his vehicle in a garage was able to push the car out while it was on fire, officials said.
According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, crews quickly extinguished the car blaze just after 7 p.m. Thursday in the 9600 block of Pikedale Drive.
LVFR said a person was working on his car in the garage of the residence when a fire started around the car battery located behind the driver's seat, which was inside the vehicle.
The fire caused some damage to the garage and smoke was able to get into the home, investigators said.
Damage was estimated at $15,000. There were no injuries reported.
