Overnight blaze destroys North Las Vegas home

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

A vacant home in North Las Vegas was destroyed by flames early Friday morning.

Officials said the fire happened just before 1 a.m. at a single-story home in the 600 block of Casa Del Norte Drive, between Camino Al Norte and Commerce Street.

Investigators are looking into a cause for the fire.

The house sustained heavy smoke and flame damage, and fire officials called the home a complete loss.

Damage was estimated about $259,000.

There were no injuries reported.
